Answers: James Coppinger's team-mates

It's been about 24 hours since the quiz on some of James Coppinger's team-mates at Doncaster Rovers went live so here are the answers. Some even surprised me when I was researching them...

1) Darren Byfield. He never scored for DRFC and certainly didn't 'hit the right note' with singer/wife Jamelia as they got divorced. His goal past Jordan Pickford was for Telford in a game against Alfreton - yes, the current England 'keeper actually played for Alfreton.

2) Sammy Clinigan. He featured on loan for Chesterfield against DRFC (23/10/04), nearly joined from Wolves that summer, but eventually signed in 2012/13 after suffering relegation from the Championship with both Norwich and Coventry.

3) Guy Ipoua. The Cameroonian played in France, Italy and Spain (incredibly for Atletico Madrid and Sevilla) before somehow ending up in South Yorkshire. Terry Venables took him on trial at Crystal Palace and his goal in the play-off final was for Hereford, against Halifax, in 2006.

4) Simon Gillett. Yes, the blonde-haired midfield dynamo had Grant McCann as his boss at Peterborough - albeit for just a few weeks. His best days were under Sean O'Driscoll and he played for Yeovil against Man United in the FA Cup.

5) Habib Bamogo. Although he contributed, erm - being polite, absolutely nothing for DRFC, this bloke actually played alongside some genuine stars of French football for Marseille, Nantes and Nice. His international caps were for Burkina Faso.

6) Gareth Taylor. The ex-striker, now manager of Man City Women, played internationally for Wales (alongside John Oster) despite being born in England. 'Gazza' and Kevin Ball were team-mates at Burnley; Don Hutchison at Sheffield United and Marcus Stewart at Bristol Rovers.

7) Ross McCormack. The Scotland international played under Neil Warnock, went 'down under' in the twilight years of his career and got off to a winning start on his DRFC debut (21/01/06 vs Scunthorpe).

8) Alun Armstrong. Yep, do not adjust your screen, this ex-loanee was on the same pitch as Ronaldo for Ipswich against Inter Milan. Remarkably, he even scored twice! He was at Middlesbrough with Juninho and Christian Ziege who played in the 2002 World Cup Final.

9) Reece Wabara. On his Manchester City debut, Wabara appeared as a substitute and also on the bench was Patrick Vieira. Conor Hourihane is the current Aston Villa player, who he featured alongside at Barnsley.

10) Ricky Ravenhill. Despite being a predominantly 'lower league' player, Ravenhill played alongside some ridiculous talent. Tom Ince and Matt Ritchie went on loan to Notts County, whom he endured the record losing streak with, whilst Charlie Taylor was a loanee at Bradford.

11) Gary McSheffrey. Now coaching Rovers' youngsters, McSheffrey found the target against DRFC for Coventry (28/09/10) and for DRFC in the latter stages of the 2015/16 season. Gordon Strachan and Alex McLeish, his old bosses, went on to take charge of Scotland whilst Andy Thorn was the member of Wimbledon's Crazy Gang.
